LISTEN SUNDAY MORNINGS
at 5:00 AM on Power 107 FM
and 8:00 AM on Majic 100 FM
For almost two years, host Alex Habersham and the Call to Action staff have focused on numerous thought provoking and meaningful issues affecting the African American community. Now we have a new medium through which we can convey our message on an even wider scale and to a larger audience; our very own Social Network. Through lively discussions with influential community leaders, the Macon's Call To Action radio program, in combination with the Macon's Call to Action video library, we hope to enlist the community, individual citizens and both small and large businesses to make positive social change through action and interaction.
With the addition of the Macon's Call to Action Social Network page, we bring to the citizens of Macon/Middle Georgia,and now to those people worldwide, the message of making positive change.The concept is based on the "Covenant With Black America". authored by Tavis Smiley.
Just some of the notable locals with whom we've discussed community needs and concerns:
* Sam Hart, Chair of Bibb County Commission
* Anita Ponder, Tubman African American Museum
* Elaine Lucas, Macon City Council
* David Lucas, State Representative
* Sharon Patterson, Bibb County Schools
* Al Tillman, Macon NAACP President
* John Hiscox, MHA Executive Director
* Steve Allen, Bibb Co. Democratic Party
* Pammie Jimmar, Convention Planner
* Mark Stevens, President Atlantic Southern Bank
* Lonzy Edwards, County Commissioner
* Billy Pitts, Urban Development Authority
* Eddie Smith, Macedonia Baptist Church
Our program is getting bigger and better on a daily basis, we hope and pray that you stick around and grow with us.
Best Wishes,
Alex C. Habersham
